We didn't think there was a way to make Cannondale's Scalpel any faster. Then they made the Scalpel 29er Carbon 1. And they just happened to make it one of the lightest full-suspension 29er frames in existence. Beyond light, it's one of the stiffest frames with the use of BallisTec high-modulus carbon and a rear through-axle as well. That stiffness, combined with super-short chainstays and dialed geometry, make this thing corner like a 26-inch hardtail, with the unfair benefit of 29-inch wheels and plush travel. You've got 100mm of race-proven, pivotless suspension in the back, and up front, the 100mm carbon Lefty charges the way. And the specs show off its race readiness with a full X0 group, TruVativ bars, and Reynolds carbon wheels.
Cannondale's carbon Zero Pivot chainstays flex in the middle for optimum suspension thanks to their unique shape and fiber orientation.
Cannondale's ECS-TC (Enhanced Center Stiffness–Torsion Control) technology eliminates flex or play in the links and bearings of your frame. Cannondale uses widely spaced, 15mm through-axles for the key pivots. The axle then becomes a structural part of the link or swingarm and radically increases your frame's ability to resist twisting loads and side-to-side movement.
BB30 is an oversize bottom bracket standard that boosts stiffness and decreases weight. BB30 bottom bracket bearings are pressed directly into compatible frames, meaning there are no heavy external cups to thread in. And, BB30 cranksets feature 30mm-diameter spindles (standard spindles are smaller) for greater pedaling efficiency and increased power transfer.

I have ridden it for 1 year and awesome bike. Fast as my Flash Carbon, but takes all the pain from my back. Best bike for all the local tracks, Markham, Amelia, Quiet Waters, etc....buy one and you won't regret it.
